Construction machinery

Gears for the drivetrains of excavators, loaders, cranes and other construction machinery.

On construction machinery, gears work under high torque, shock loads and harsh conditions. The right choice of material and heat treatment therefore directly determines the life of the part.

Frequently made parts

  • Gearbox and transmission gears
  • Slewing ring and travel drive gears
  • Helical and bevel gear pairs
  • Gear couplings and drive shafts

Material and heat treatment

Construction machinery gears usually use case-hardening steels such as 16MnCr5, 20MnCr5 and 8620 or through-hardening steels such as 4140. Case hardening hardens the tooth surfaces while keeping the core tough.

Frequently asked questions

Do you make large-diameter gears?

The diameter and module that can be produced depend on the machine capacity of the workshop doing the job. Give the dimensions in your request and we will state feasibility with the quote.

Can I get a quote with the original part number?

A part number is useful as background, but production needs dimensions. Sharing a technical drawing, sample or photo with measurements along with the part number speeds up the quote.
