Bevel gears
Cone-shaped gears that transmit motion between intersecting shafts, usually at 90°.
What are bevel gears used for?
Bevel gears transmit motion and power between two shafts whose axes intersect. The most common angle is 90°, but other angles are possible. The teeth are cut on a cone surface; there are straight and spiral types.
Bevel gears usually work in pairs. Their position relative to each other (the mounting distance) directly affects how well they run.

Production details
For a bevel gear quote, the module, the number of teeth of both gears, the shaft angle and the tooth type (straight or spiral) matter. If one gear of a pair is to be replaced, the number of teeth of the mating gear must be given; where possible we recommend replacing both gears together.

Can I have only one gear of a bevel pair made?
It is possible, but running a new gear with a worn one can shorten its life. Share a photo of the mating gear and we will advise whether both should be replaced.
Do you make spiral bevel gears?
Spiral bevel gears need special machines. When we receive your request, we assess it with a suitable workshop in our production network and state feasibility and price in our quote.
Can you make an agricultural machine's angle gear from a sample?
Yes. We can use the broken or worn gear as a sample. Dimensions are taken from the sample, and the number of teeth and module are set to match the mating gear.
