What are sprockets used for?
Sprockets (chain wheels) work with roller chains to transmit power between two shafts some distance apart. They run without slipping, carry high loads and withstand harsh environments with dust and dirt.

Production details
For a sprocket we need the chain number or pitch (e.g. 08B = 1/2", 10B = 5/8", 12B = 3/4"), whether the chain is simplex, duplex or triplex, and the number of teeth. The hub type (with hub or plate), bore diameter and keyway dimensions are also stated in the quote. Induction-hardened teeth last longer.
Questions about Sprockets
How do I find the chain number?
The number is usually stamped on the chain links (e.g. 08B-1). If it isn't, measure the distance across three consecutive roller centres and divide it by two to find the chain pitch.
Why should I replace a worn sprocket together with the chain?
A worn chain quickly wears the teeth of a new sprocket too. For the best result we recommend replacing the sprocket and chain together.
Can you make an agricultural machine's sprocket from a sample?
Yes. Sprockets with non-standard hub or bore dimensions can be made by taking measurements from a sample.
