A connecting element that joins two shafts to transmit torque while tolerating misalignment.
What are couplings used for?
Couplings connect two shafts, such as a motor and a gearbox or pump, to transmit rotation and torque. Flexible couplings tolerate small misalignments in the installation, absorb shocks and protect the connected equipment.

Types of couplings
The most common types are jaw couplings with an elastic spider, gear couplings, tyre couplings and rigid couplings. In gear couplings, hubs with external teeth fit into a sleeve with internal teeth to transmit high torque. As spare parts, hubs and elastic elements are needed most often.

Can I have only one hub of a coupling made?
Yes. A single hub can be made to match the other hub and the elastic element. Just share a photo and the dimensions of the existing part.
What is a gear coupling?
In a gear coupling, hubs with external teeth fit into a sleeve with internal teeth. It transmits high torque and tolerates angular misalignment. It is common in heavy industry, crane and rolling mill drives.
